For the hand drawn gif...
I want to capture a progression of change. I plan to draw a seed blooming until it is fully grown and then have the gif continually loop from that point. I plan to make the colours fairly muted and earthy with the only movement coming from the growing of the seed. I intend to draw the sequence in Adobe Illustrator and compile the gif in photoshop.
Below are the rough images from the beginning, middle and end of the gif. These will be more polished for final submission and are just a quick reproduction of what I hope to do. The final gif will also be in colour.
The image above would be the start image of the gif. It is the tree starting from the seed.
Above is the mid point of the gif. See how the tree is beginning to surface.
Above would be the final image of the gif. A fully formed and in bloom tree.
For the realistic(photographic) gif...
I want to do something with a human element. My idea is someone pouring a cup of water (this shot would be zoomed in), have them drink it (pan out) then have the empty glass set down on the counter (zoom in to original shot). This way the gif would continue seamlessly. I plan to use a DSLR Canon to film this sequence.
For both gifs...
I want to make them seamless and easy to watch, ensuring that the looping of the gif doesn't seem jarring and chaotic. The fluidity of both gifs is my main goal. ,
